ZenOffice have announced a year-long charity partnership with Cancer Research UK, pledging to raise £10,000 for the More Tomorrows Campaign.
The More Tomorrows Campaign is a collaboration between Cancer Research UK, the University of Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, raising money to fund the new Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) in Withington. The MCRC’s vision is to become a world-leading centre in translating discoveries made at the lab bench into treatments for cancer patients.
ZenOffice staff are confident that they can reach their £10,000 target with various fundraising activities including special themed dress down days, raffles and personal challenges planned over the next 12 months. To kick start the fundraising, 30 ZenOffice girls will be taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life at Heaton Park on 13th July. The girls are hoping to smash the £2,250 raised at last year’s event.
Les Kerr, Managing Director at ZenOffice, said: “We are really excited to be launching our charity partnership with Cancer Research UK for the More Tomorrows Campaign, especially as it is on our doorstep. Cancer affects so many people and many friends, loved ones and colleagues have been touched by it. That’s why at ZenOffice we’re committed to raising as much money as we can.”
Jack Leetch, Local Fundraising Manager at Cancer Research UK said, “The new MCRC building will enable us to revolutionise the way we prevent, diagnose and treat cancer worldwide. It will create more tomorrows for people like the 1,900 people diagnosed with cancer in Manchester each year. It’s fantastic that ZenOffice have pledged to raise such an incredible amount of money for us and we wish them the best of luck with their fundraising.’’
