ZenOffice have today announced their sponsorship of England and Great Britain international hockey player and London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Nicola White.
With more than 100 international caps to her name and 80 plus public appearances since the London Olympics including awards evenings, school visits, masterclasses and coaching sessions, Nicola is also closely involved with a range of charities and organisations including the British Heart Foundation, Dame Kelly Holmes Trust and Oldham’s One Future Olympic Legacy.
Despite funding to help cover essential living and training expenses there are some costs that she has found particularly difficult to cover. “Running a car,” says Nicola, “It’s a necessary but huge expense.”
“When we found out that Nicola was looking for help to be able to lease and insure her car I was delighted to be able to step in and offer our assistance,” says ZenOffice Managing Director Les Kerr. ”I’d originally met Nicola at Oldham Athletic Football Club and was deeply impressed with her passion and commitment to become one of the world’s best hockey players – not just to her sport but also to our community. Of course we can help”.
It’s great that ZenOffice are supporting me like this,” says Nicola. “Transport is essential for me to fulfil my training and ambassadorial commitments.”
“Yes I’m going for gold at Rio 2016 Olympic Games,” she concludes, “But I think it’s great that between us we’re also sending out a message, especially to the young people in Oldham and Manchester. That we support each other and work together to achieve success. I think the way that Les and his team at ZenOffice are helping me here is a perfect example of us all pulling together.”
