Manchester-based ZenOffice have announced the appointment of Bruce Davie to the position of Commercial Director. Davie is an experienced professional with a background in sales, logistics and customer services.
Managing Director, Les Kerr said: “Bruce brings with him a wealth of experience from the office supplies industry after 8 successful years as Regional Director at Spicers. He has great insight into the complexities of medium to large enterprises like ours, and understands that they require continual flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing world we operate in. His appointment will be one of our more significant actions of recent times.”
Davie takes up his new role with an initial focus on warehousing, distribution and supplier management, before implementation of a full business review.
Established in 1972, ZenOffice has, through organic growth and a series of acquisitions, become one of the UK’s leading office suppliers. Turnover has more than doubled from £4million in 2010 to a projected £9 million for this financial year.
ZenOffice now has approximately 70 employees and services more than 3,000 clients predominantly in the North West.
Les Kerr, Managing Director says: “In spite of the recession we have performed strongly and we have an ambitious plan to continue our growth to circa £20m per annum. Bruce Davie’s appointment will add to our operational robustness and positions us very well as we approach 2013. We will continue to diversify and to add new services, but we are financially stable and would also be very interested to look at more acquisition opportunities if they would add weight and offer further operational efficiencies.”
