Did you know the May Day bank holiday has changed for 2020?

To coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the early May bank holiday has been moved to Friday 8th May. Traditionally held on the first Monday of May, the holiday change is aimed at giving as many people as possible the opportunity to join in on a three-day weekend of commemorative events and to toast the heroes of World War Two.

This change means that many 2020 diaries, planners and calendars may have the incorrect early May bank holiday already printed. Be mindful of this when noting down your plans for next year and remember Friday 8th May is the correct holiday.
