Pride of ZenOffice Awards has staff in tears

Last night’s televised Pride of Britain Awards had the nation in tears. Today, ZenOffice had the Pride of ZenOffice Awards bringing a tear to its 70 strong workforce.

ZenOffice has recognised the selfless efforts of two team members for their outstanding achievements and contributions to charity. Toni Rothwell, Finance Assistant is an advocate of charity fundraising and over the years has initiated all the company’s fundraising activities. This year Toni has helped the company to raise over £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £2,257 for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

Sales Director, Steph Hitchman got involved with Match4Martin when Martin Solomon, a close family friend, contracted Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for the second time at the age of 20. He needed a lifesaving transplant. Despite a worldwide search, no match could be found.

Although he is now in remission after being treated with an American drug trial, Martin and his family and friends are still urging people aged 16-30 to join the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register and become potential lifesavers. Their efforts have helped to register over 10,000 new bone marrow donors and had a 700% uplift from donors of mixed race and ethnic minorities.

ZenOffice Managing Director, Les Kerr said “Steph, Toni and all the staff who participate and contribute to charities and good causes are an absolute credit to the company. ZenOffice are a big family who really care about making a difference in the world and we will continue to support important issues which can affect us all.”
